On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. John 14:20
This verse from John 14 has been echoing in my heart today. “I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.” It’s simple, but it holds such depth. Jesus is in the Father. I am in Jesus. And Jesus is in me. That’s not just poetic—it’s reality.
Jesus lives in perfect, intimate union with the Father. Every word He speaks, every act of love and grace, flows directly from that connection. And somehow—graciously—He draws me into that relationship too. I’ve been brought into Him. And He has chosen to live in me.
That truth is overwhelming in the best way. I’m not just a follower trying to keep up from a distance. I’m in Him—anchored, covered, and fully known. And He’s in me—present, alive, and working, even when I feel weak or distracted.
I needed that reminder today. Lately, I’ve felt a little spiritually scattered, distracted. Like I’ve been running on autopilot. But this verse cuts through the noise. My feelings might shift, but the reality of His presence doesn’t. He hasn’t moved. I’m still in Him. He’s still in me. And He is forever in the Father.
This is more than comfort—it’s identity. In this divine relationship, I belong. I’m not outside looking in. I’m held within it.
Jesus, thank You for drawing me into Your life with the Father. Help me live aware of this truth—that I am in You, and You are in me. Let this reality quiet my heart, shape my day, and keep me close to You. Amen.

It’s so amazingly beyond words that He actually identifies with us, much less wants to be within us. The longer I walk with Him, the more taken I am with Him and His love for me. ♥ Blessings to you and Nathan!

Good post. You said, “I needed that reminder today. Lately, I’ve felt a little spiritually scattered, distracted.” Well, that makes two of us today. Thank you for posting this.

Thanks Don. It’s so easy these days to feel detached, isn’t it? I find more and more that I have to be intentional about drawing near to God and shutting out the distractions and worries of the day. Blessings to you, dear brother. Thanks so much for stopping by.
