    • Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego faced persecution when they refused to worship the golden image set up by King Nebuchadnezzar. In spite of the threat of being thrown into a fiery furnace, they stood firm in their faith.
    • Stephen, the first Christian martyr, was stoned to death for boldly proclaiming his faith in Christ. Yet he forgave his attackers and remained faithful until the end.
    • Peter faced persecution, imprisonment, and death for his faith, yet he continued to boldly preach Christ crucified.
    • Paul experienced significant persecution for his role in spreading the gospel. He endured imprisonment, beatings, many other hardships, and ultimately death; yet he continued to preach the Gospel with unwavering dedication.
